Synergy Consulting Inc. is honored to have advised PWP as a Lead, Financial and Commercial Advisor on 2.4 GW CCGT projects in Misfah and Duqm strengthening Oman’s energy security

Synergy Consulting, Inc. is honored to have advised Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (PWP) as Lead, Financial and Commercial Advisor for the procurement of approximately 2.4 GW of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) capacity, developed across two Projects namely Misfah IPP and Duqm IPP.

These projects will play a critical role in strengthening Oman’s energy security and were unique compared to PWP’s previous procurements, featuring accelerated timelines, advance reservation of gas turbines by PWP, and PWP taking over initial civil works, among other measures to ensure adherence to timelines.

The projects have been awarded to a consortium comprising Nebras Power Q.P.S.C., Korea Western Power Co. Ltd., Etihad Water and Electricity PJSC, and Bahwan Infrastructure Services LLC. The signing ceremony for the Projects was successfully completed on 22 January 2026.
