Synergy Consulting, Inc. is honored to support the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a Financial Advisor for providing debt financing to ISON Tower Limited Inc. (ISON) to support the construction, development, and operation of 800 shared telecommunication towers in the Philippines.
The debt financing is part of the co-financed package worth USD 85 million, with ADB partnering with Security Bank Corporation (SBC), a leading Philippine bank, to finance USD 42.5 million each for a 12-year tenor. The financing arrangements have been designed to mitigate risks related to greenfield financing of telecommunication towers in the nation.
The construction of 800 towers under this initiative aligns with the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) push to speed up shared tower deployment by authorizing infrastructure firms to build and manage them for mobile network operators. This arrangement aims to enhance the existing limited tower coverage (~240 towers per million population) and to reduce the operational expenses for network operators, enabling them to prioritize customer service improvements.
