Synergy Consulting provided Procurement Advisory Services to Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) for Noor Abu Dhabi LED Streetlighting Project – Phase 1, UAE, which included smart LED lighting retrofit of 42,632 luminaires for Abu Dhabi Island streets.
Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) awarded the contract to Tatweer for the installation of LED lights in March 2020.
The Project achieved successful Commercial and Financial Close in August 2020. The Project aims to deliver energy savings of ~900 Million kWh – equivalent to AED 264 Million – over the course of 12-Year Concession Agreement.
The Project is the ‘first of its kind’ in Abu Dhabi. And after ADIO’s establishment in 2019, this Project is the first transaction to close successfully.
