In this scenario, asset-based securitization is a time-tested yet unique financing product that offers predictable returns and security of investments to lenders.
Given its utility for the upstream oil & gas industry, the article discusses the Proved Developed Producing (PDP) securitization route for upstream fields that have proven (1P) or developed (but not producing) reserves which can be securitized against an instrument like secure bonds.
