Synergy Consulting is honored to be associated with Umm Al Houl Power as its Financial Advisor for the 61.45 MIGD RO water expansion project

Umm Al Houl Power Company (“UHP”) has signed an amendment to their existing PWPA Agreement with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (“KAHRAMAA”) for Facility D IWPP. Under the amended PWPA Agreement, UHP will undertake an expansion of the RO water desalination capacity of Facility D IWPP, raising the total desalination capacity of the Facility D IWPP to ~198 MIGD by 2021, which is expected to serve ~40% of the total potable water demand of Qatar.

Synergy Consulting in its capacity as the Financial Advisor supported UHP in proposal preparation for expansion of desalination capacity of Facility D IWPP, subsequent negotiation with the Kahramaa, negotiations with existing lenders on the consent process as well as supported UHP and the Sponsors in arranging committed financing from the lenders.
