The consortium of Miahona Company, Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu SJSC (“Marafiq’) and BESIX successfully concluded the Financial Close of this landmark Project.
The plant will have a treatment capacity of 200,000 m3, complemented by a 32 km integrated treated sewage transmission system capable of transporting up to 400,000 m3 daily.
Additionally, a pumping station and storage tanks with a capacity of 200,000 m3 will be constructed. These integrated components are designed to ensure sustainable and efficient sewage treatment, supporting Saudi Arabia’s environmental sustainability goals under Vision 2030.
The Project is expected to reach commercial operation by Q4 – 2026 and will be operated under a 25-year concession—a model that reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in vital sectors.
The Financial Close involves an approximate financial package of USD 500 million with Banque Saudi Fransi as the global senior facility agent for the Project.
