Synergy Consulting, Inc. is honored and delighted to be the Procurement Advisor to the Saudi Water Partnership Company, KSA for receiving the “PPP Deal of the Year” award at the PFI 2024 Awards, for the “Rayis-Rabigh IWTP, KSA.”

Synergy Consulting, Inc. acted as the Lead and Financial Advisor to the procurer for the 150 km Rayis Rabigh Pipeline of 500,000 m3/d Capacity tendered by the Saudi Water Partnership Company “SWPC” in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Synergy Consulting, Inc., acting as Lead and Financial Advisor, is honored to have played a key role in advising SWPC in achieving the Financial Close of the Independent Water Transmission Project. This strategic partnership underscores a shared commitment for driving the future of sustainable water practices.

The Project is set to be operational in 2026. The Project will provide critical connectivity between Makkah and Baha regions of Saudi Arabia. The Project will transport water between Rayis and Rabigh in Makkah region in KSA.

The Water Transmission Project promises not only to deliver potable water to water deficit areas but also create tangible and intangible value by bringing a range of socio-economic benefits to the local communities, including local job creation and skills development.

The Project is an important milestone in line with the sectoral objectives and KSA’s long-term national vision of establishing sustainable water infrastructure to support the forecasted population growth and development.

This is a First-of-Its-Kind Project undertaken with the participation of private sector, paving the way for further private sector participation in upcoming projects.

This Project will improve the Water Sector’s resilience by transporting water from water producing regions to the demand centers. It will also improve operational efficiencies by involving the private sector in the transmission sector.

The Project will be developed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer basis, and the Project Company will have the obligation to operate and maintain the plant for a period of 35 years.
