Our Founder President and CEO, Mr. AMAN Sachdeva, and Mr. Ankit Chaturvedi (Managing Director and Lead – Asia Practice) shared their experiences on financing low carbon energy projects, as part of the Central Asia Clean Energy Forum held in #Kazakhstan from 13th – 15th September 2022.
Aman and Ankit spoke about the current developments in the renewable energy financing and also shared Synergy’s experience in helping raise financing for Green Hydrogen / Ammonia projects.
Aman was on the panel that discussed state of energy transition in the Central Asia Region and the lessons which can be learnt from other parts of the world.
Ankit’s panel discussed the financing of clean energy transition in the region, lessons learnt from global best practices and also ways to integrate local currency financing in such projects.
This forum was part of the USAID program in the region. Regional government representatives, utilities, regional and global investors, and #international #organizations participated in this event. Forum’s key focus was on three themes that have major implications for the future trajectory of energy system development in the Central Asia Region:
1) Major initiatives countries are taking to meet climate commitments and energy transition.
2) The role of innovation, technology, and finance to support the energy transition.
3) Opportunities and challenges of market-based regional electricity cooperation and trade.
Synergy congratulates the organizers for a successful event, which was well attended and resulted in productive discussions.
