Synergy Consulting, Inc. is honored and delighted to serve as the Lead and Financial Advisor to the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC), KSA, for achieving Financial Close of the Rumah 1 & Nairyah 1 CCGT IPPs – which have been recognized with the prestigious “Carbon Capture Deal of the Year, MENA” award by Infra Global.
Each with a capacity of 1.8 GW and structured under a 25-year concession, the projects are expected to be operational by 2028. They form part of the energy mix plan, which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy to meet the future load demand of the electrical system, diversify energy production sources, and displace liquid fuels in order to achieve the optimal energy mix for electricity production in the Kingdom by 2030, with renewable energy and gas each contributing 50%.
