Synergy Consulting, Inc. is honored and delighted to receive the “Fianncial Consultant of the Year” award at the MESIA 2023 Awards for the “Manah Solar I and Manah Sola II IPPs, Oman”
The award ceremony took place in Wane by SoMiya at Marina Hotel, Dubai on December 6th, 2023.
Synergy Consulting, Inc. acted as the Lead and Financial Advisor to the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company for the procurement of 500 MW Manah Solar I and 500 MW Manah Solar II IPPs in the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate in Oman.
This Project is the largest Solar Power tender in Oman” with a combined capacity of 1,000 MW Solar PV consisting of two Solar PV IPPs tendered together and awarded to two separate Bidding entities.
These are also the first set of Projects under the new Tendering Policy that has been approved as Nama Group’s internal tender regulations, replacing the Tender Law issued by Sultani Decree 36/2008.
Considering the size of the Project, there were significant challenges in selecting the appropriate site from an environmental, hydrological and topographical points of view.
The two power plants together have the capacity of more than 1 million tonnes of CO2 emmission reductions and supplying eletricity to more than 120,000 homes in Oman. These Projects will also set new benchmarks in terms of further promoting local Omani talent.
