Synergy Consulting, Inc. is pleased to share that it acted as the financial advisor to Infinity Power and their partner Pele Green Energy for REIPPPP Bid Window 7 in South Africa. Infinity Power has been awarded 1.28 GW of capacity across Six Solar PV projects and has the lowest tariff among the winners.

The seventh round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP Bid Window 7) were held on 15th August’ 24, and 5 GW of capacity was auctioned, making up to 3200MW wind energy resources and 1800MW solar photovoltaic energy resources. The bidders bid on 48 projects offering a total of 10.2 GW of capacity, including 40 from Solar PV and 8 from Onshore Wind projects.

A total of 8 Solar PV projects with an overall capacity of 1760 MW have been appointed as preferred bidders. Infinity Power was awarded six projects across Mpumalanga, Limpopo and North West province, totaling a capacity of 1280 MW, equivalent to 73% of the total solar PV capacity awarded under this tender.

Synergy provided financial advisory services to Infinity Power and Pele Green Energy, including the preparation of financial models, debt advisory, tariff optimizations, and preparation of the final bid package for submission.
