Air connectivity is a gateway to recovery. As Syria reopens to the world, modern aviation infrastructure is essential to reviving trade, tourism, and investment — reconnecting the country to regional and global markets.

Synergy Consulting, Inc. is pleased to continue supporting our client — a consortium comprising UCC Holding, Assets Group, Cengiz Insaat, and Kalyon Group — in the rehabilitation and expansion of Damascus International Airport (‘DIA’) in the Syrian Arab Republic for Phase 1 — a landmark infrastructure project set to play a critical role in enhancing regional connectivity and reviving Syria’s economic growth.

The entire redevelopment program (split across multiple phases) aims to in total expand annual passenger capacity to 31 million passengers by modernizing existing infrastructure at an estimated cost of c. USD 4 billion — unlocking new opportunities for trade, tourism, and employment across Syria. Current phase (Phase 1) aims to unlock passenger capacity to 6 million.

As transaction and financial advisor to the consortium, Synergy is providing a full suite of advisory services — transaction structuring, project management, lender engagement, financial model development and management, and support in negotiating and finalizing project and financing agreements.
