We’re pleased to announce that the American University of Technology (AUT) and Synergy Consulting Infrastructure and Financial Advisory Inc., have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch Tashkent Academy for PPP and Infrastructure (TAFPI) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The agreement, signed by Mr. Timur Rakhmanov, Director General of AUT, and Mr. Aman Sachdeva, Founder, President & CEO of Synergy Consulting, marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration to build regional capacity and strengthen skills in PPPs for infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan.

The TAFPI, conceptualized by Synergy Consulting will be hosted at AUT’s state-of-the-art facilities and is designed to provide specialized training programs for students, government officials, and industry professionals.
AUT will play a pivotal role in hosting the Academy and contributing to its curriculum to ensure that the program meets the specific needs of Uzbekistan and the Central Asian region.

This collaborative approach will enable both parties to leverage their strengths—AUT’s educational resources (powered by Arizona State University (ASU), USA) and Synergy’s global expertise.

Mr. Timur Rakhmanov, Director General of AUT, highlighted the mutual benefits of this partnership, stating, “By hosting the TAFPI, AUT aims to contribute to the Academy’s success by customizing its offerings to address the specific needs of Uzbekistan’s infrastructure sector. Our goal is to ensure that the Academy becomes a platform where both students and professionals can acquire the advanced skills required to manage and implement PPP projects successfully.”

Mr. Aman Sachdeva, Founder, President and CEO of Synergy Consulting, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with AUT to host this Tashkent Academy for PPP and Infrastructure, which will serve as a regional hub for training and knowledge exchange. Together, we will create a learning environment that empowers participants to implement sustainable infrastructure projects and drive long-term economic growth in Uzbekistan.”

The Academy will deliver a range of training programs covering the full PPP lifecycle, including project preparation, financial structuring, and contract management.

The Academy’s offerings will be tailored to key sectors such as energy, transport, water and wastewater management, healthcare, education, and urban development.

The Academy’s formal launch is scheduled for early 2025.
